but i will say i really don't understand the application of the june 1st cuts/ trades etc in how that works with needing to get under cap now. In any case, extra cap space we create this year going unused still rolls into the next year.
1. Trade Kamara. I'm not expecting a lot but send him elsewhere and move on. I'm thinking like swapping a 5th with a 3rd possibly.
2. June 1st trade Lattimore. I'm expecting semi decent value here. Maybe a 2nd and 3rd plus an early pick next year. Not sure if we can get a late 1 this year or not.
3. June 1st cut MT which is already a done deal.
4. June 1st cut Maye which i think is pretty much a done deal.
5. Cut Hurst. Saves 4.2 million cap
This is all before they've adjusted Mathieu's restructure/extension as well.
These moves leaves us around only 11 million in the hole next year making these moves away from Kamara and Latt etc. But other restructures etc would need to be done but it would be a huge swing of getting right in the future sooner than later.

For trades, there is no lets trade now and apply as post 6/01. To get the post 6/01 cap benefit, you will have to trade post 6/01
For those that are cut now and applied as a post 6/01 cut. You will have to eat the entire cap hit now, and after 6/01 you will recognize the benefit. To better explain, look at the MT figures on OTC. He has a 2024 cap hit of $12.4M. If you cut now that cap hit jumps to $20.4M in 2024 and he's off your books after 2024.
If you designate him a post 6/01 cap hit, then you will still have the $20.4M cap hit on the books from today until 6/01. Then his 2024 number drops to $11.2M and $9.2M is pushed to 2025.

Post Junes don’t get you under the cap. They give you room to sign FAs and take your hit on older players and spread it out lessening the yearly impact.
Last I heard they are only a few million (less than 10) over and haven’t even touched guys like Kamara, or Davis or Hill. Some contracts have been reworked but just not sent to the league yet.
