You think they go BPA or target need?
Posted on 3/10/15 at 9:51 pm to Rickety Cricket
mix of both i think, but more need than value.
i think at 13 we can go BPA though. Will likely be a rusher, WR, DL or OL, which we could use all.

Best case scenario is if we sit at 13 and a guy like Cooper drops

I could see Cooper or white dropping, or one of the pass rushers
what do people think of Gurley or Melvin Gordon potentially at 31?
sudden "new commit to the run"... both have solid hands... we have room in our backfield for 1 now.

Eli Harold?
quote:
Virginia DE/OLB Eli Harold "is held in high regard," noted the National Football Post's Greg Gabriel, "in NFL draft rooms around the country." "Harold is a very solid high second round pick, but some teams must be considering that with his age and upside, is he worth taking in the first?" Gabriel wrote. Harold (6-foot-3 and 247 pounds) has great size for a 3-4 outside linebacker, and he'll be only 21 years old as a rookie. In addition, his combine numbers were sensational, where he finished 4.6, 1.56 and 4.16 in the 40-yard dash, the 10-yard split and the short shuttle, respectively. "Where Harold needs to improve is with his ability to shed blocks in the run game. Better technique and added strength in the upper body will help achieve that," Gabriel wrote.

After years of neglecting LB in the first two rounds of the draft (never drafted one higher than third under Payton; none in the first since Mills in 1995; we were looking at Mosley and Shazier last year), I see two of the first three picks being LB. Thompson and McKinney. Likely a guard with one of the first three.
I was only half joking when I said I wouldn't mind them drafting five LBs and two OL. With Unger we can make it six and one.

If I could hand pick a WR from the draft to have it would be DGB or White.

Has Gurley ever played more than half a season without getting hurt? He always seems to have pretty significant injuries.

i just hate the LB's in this draft. I agree, we need 2 or 3 between the draft and FA. I like McKinney though. Not as high on Thompson. I cant see us taking 2 with our top 3 picks

Gurley played a full slate as a Freshman.

I don't know why people think we can't have reasonable discussions. Sometimes.

I'm okay with these picks.

Would be happy with Scherff, Kendricks, then Maxx Williams.

Man its goona be hard to judge right now until we finish with FA
How about:
13. Trae Wayne's
31. La'el Collins
44. McKinney
: dunno:
Or
13. Vic Beasley
31. La'el Collins
44. Byron Jones
Dont think Collins will last until 31 though

There's no way Collins falls to 31

OK OK
13. La'el Collins
31. Jordan Phillips
44. McKinney

ESPN.com's profile on him sounds like a Sully clone.

1) best pass rusher ... Ray, Gregory..
1a) McKinney ILB MSU
2) Erving OL. FSU
Assuming we sign Williams or Browner as a starting CB
