1. 2009 NFCCG
2. 2018 NFCCG
3. XLI
4. 2006 MNF ATL
5. 2000 WC STL

Getting to the SB is a monumental feat in any season. Winning it is incredible but the season is an unquestioned success and one for the history books just making it to the final 2 and playing in the final game of the year.

Plus, they were in The Dome. If the Saints ever get a SB in NOLA that will be #1.

06 NFCCG was just gravy after a year of so many highs when no one expected us to do anything. That’s why I rank it lower.

That WC game over the Rams was huge. It was time to finally win one, we were hosting the SB champs that used to be a divisional foe. Monumental game and they got it done.

By that logic, then 2006 NFCCG is 2, it’s just the result we wanted didn’t occur. All NFCCG are equally as important.

Ask Falcons fans how they feel about their latest Super Bowl appearance.

Well yeah if you have a historic meltdown, it could ruin the experience for sure

But if you show up and compete for 60 minutes there is no shame in losing a championship game imo

A quick poll of Falcons fans resulted in 28 breaking down in tears with 3 refusing to acknowledge the game took place all together. It is believed the 31 individuals polled encompass the entire Atlanta Falcons fan base.

For me it is clear cut 1. As a lifelong Saints fan I was so afraid to die without them ever reaching a Super Bowl. The Vikings game was the biggest game for me, winning the super bowl was lagniappe.

This. While my 17 downvoters may not agree , getting to the game was a huge dragon to slay.

At the time we were one of only five franchises to have never gotten to the Super Bowl. It was us, the Seahawks (since gone and won), the Browns, Lions, Jaguars, and Texans.

That was embarrassing as hell and was a huge step forward for the franchise.

Before 2009 we were one of FIFTEEN teams that hadn’t won the game. Not nearly as much stigma there.

The Saints, Seahawks, and Eagles have all won since, with the Bengals, Bills, Browns, Cardinals, Chargers, Jaguars, Lions, Panthers, Texans, Titans, Vikings, and the 28-3s still having never won a Super Bowl in their history.

Getting to the game was a huge hurdle to cross and hosting the game in The Dome 100% made it the biggest game in our history imo.

Now give me more of your impulsive, knee jerk downvotes

Tomorrow is #1. Drew is 40 and we don’t have any draft picks.
