Please forgive my ignorance, do we already know the opponents?

Yea, save for one.

The NFC West third place finisher has yet to be determined.

It will either be AZ or LA.

Yeah, they’re not getting a prime late-afternoon slot in Week 1 coming off a 7-10 season.

In my (useless) projection, the Saints aren’t getting a prime late afternoon slot. Aaron Rodgers is.

Unless they changed the scheduling format this makes no sense. We’re scheduled for the afc west next year

Do we play Tampa or Tennessee in Germany as our “home” game?

Wouldn’t count any easy wins unless they address the coaching staff

Not against the Saints. The NFL doesn’t waste Week 1 at 3:25 on one ratings magnet against an irrelevant team. Right now, the Saints are irrelevant coming off a 7-10 season, two non-playoff seasons, no franchise QB, no first-round pick and a bad head coach.

If the Saints draw Week 1 at 3:25, it won’t be against the Packers and it wouldn’t be the main game in that slot on FOX or CBS. I don’t care who their opponent is. You might get Week 1 at the Rams in that slot but it would be a regional game that drew the Chris Myers announce team and went to a small percentage of the country.

I don’t mind the idea of a projected schedule. Just be a little more realistic about it.

The NFL certainly has matched up a ratings magnet against an irrelevant team in the 3:25 slot of Week 1 several times, and you don’t have to go back very far to find an example. In Week 1 of this season, Fox pitted the very same GB team against an irrelevant Minnesota Vikings team that missed the playoffs and went 8-9 a year before.
