What I really want to know, is were Griff's comments about Zion having that literal off the charts cardio treadmill test during the draft/rookie testing just another lie, or was pre-NBA Zion in amazing shape? It just seems hard to believe that someone can go from off the charts fit to whatever it is we get in October and November if he's healthy. But it would be an odd thing to lie about, even for Griff.

I hear ya, and maybe Griff is lying, but what I'd say is go look at what Zion looked like physically in the preseason of his rookie year.

Obviously it was only a few months removed, so he looked exactly like Duke Zion. By the time he returned 13 weeks later or whatever it was, he looked 20-30 lbs heavier and has looked like that since.

But preseason rookie year, we saw Zion playing in a Pels uniform in absurd shape looking like he's never ever looked in any regular season game he's played.

So you’re basically saying the dude gained weight after that preseason and never lost it. You might be right and its kind of crazy with all the resources he has, he cant get back to that.

I do think that is what happened.

Wish I had a bit more time today but I don't. But if someone can post a screenshot or video from Zion in the preseason of his rookie year to when he played in the regular season his rookie year. He may not have been as big then as he is now, but it was nowhere near preseason rookie Zion.
