They had to give us the good Trey Murphy news just to give us this a little later.

My wonder currently is do they feel like having so many people out and having Z try to push through this for us to still lose is worth it?

Maybe they’re taking a mindset of sit him now, then once DJ and Herb and CJ come back at the end of the month/beginning of December then the rest Z has had for the month will help and the whole team can hopefully come back healthy for a post December run.

Starting the season 8-20 sucks, but if you can finish the season 34-20 or better still getting 44 wins or more and make the play-in/playoffs then maybe sitting him and taking the blow now is worth it.

Seattle Pelicans sounds good. Reminds me Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies

He needs to dramatically lose weight.

In his interview in the offseason he said he had a live in personal chef and his weight was down and his goal coming to camp was 270, did that happen? Not sure, I do know his weight was dramatically down from last season at camp though, you could tell in his face he had lost weight.

I appreciate the positive outlook. But starting 8-20 in the west is basically kissing the season goodbye. Its over. Completely over. Its officially tank season if we do that.

I hear what you’re saying but from what I’ve seen of Zion after this time off he’s going to come back in worse shape than before.

This whole illness and then doctor’s order and now this is definitely weird.

frick that. The pelicans are a miserable snake bitten franchise. But their New Orleans miserable franchise. Seattle or any other city can kiss my arse.

Exactly this. He cant keep up his conditioning and struggles with his rehab. I rather he have an arm injury so he can keep up his cardio.

Not necessarily, as it stands now you have 5 teams that are on pace for 45 wins, so currently that’s the mark you strive for.

Starting 8-20 but finishing 34-20 or better very well probably lands you in the play in. Not ideal as I’m tired of the fricking play-in tournament, but it’s what you hope for at this stage.

Just tank the rest of the season. To reach the play-in, in the west, is going to be a very tall order. Only the Jazz and Blazers are tanking. Spurs might if they continue to play bad.

I was out of the state for first several games and when I got back and saw I can’t even watch games in HD in my area so I haven’t cared to keep up. I’m not paying extra to watch this bullshite.

Yea, the season is over. When they said "indefinitely" out, that literally means he's out for months and we know he's going to gain weight if he's sitting around for months.

We'll win enough games when we get some guys back and end up at the end of the lottery. They won't be bad enough to be in the top 7.

Why bro??! What is the point of this?? You’re not building on anything. BI is gone after this season anyways. Plus you honestly cant believe if you start the season 8-20- you’ll have perfect health to go 34-20 rest of the way??! Again appreciate the optimism but this isn’t realistic,

You just know as soon as we send him somewhere else he’ll miraculously be healthy and lead a team to contention.

The hope is you maybe get two shots in top 5 or for Cooper with Bucks pick. And remember Hawks won the top pick last year with a crazy small chance. You hope pels lottery luck strikes honestly.

I don't really care as long as we get a good return. He can be MVP for all I care, Williamson will never be the player as hope he will be "HERE" and that's the sad truth.

Yeah probably. But at some point you have to admit its not working here. Whether he succeeds elsewhere shouldn’t be the concern. The concern is its not working with pels at all.

I’m not saying this is what I would do/want, I made what I would do pretty clear on the first page. As I stated in my previous post, that’s what I believe the team is thinking, with the talent we have they definitely are not throwing in the towel 10 games into the season.

He is not “leading “ a team anywhere . He is not a leader , period.

Could he have an outstanding season or 2 in what is left of his career sure .

And to me this is the exact problem with the organization. This isn’t logical thinking in any way. Its absolutely moronic to strive for a 10 seed with one of your stars leaving after this season.
