It’s tough out here for a Pels fan. Truly back to only 12 fans. Need to trade Zion and whoever else, build around the rookies. And can’t get over giving up a top 3 pick for Queen, even if he is really good as it’s just more salt on the wound.

At this point, the only thing that matters is Fears and Queen development. I really hope one of them learns how to close games by the end of the year. They are getting some valuable experience in competitive games against good teams. Just need some more time and experience.

A smart GM (Thunder, Celtics, Nuggets, etc.) would say the season is toast, this team isn't going anywhere, let's trade dudes with value (Trey and Herb) to get back into the 2026 draft.

Trading trey would give me pause because the cupboard of shooters is so bare already. I know he's not clutch but he would be a lot better if teams couldn't clamp down on him so much. If we're getting a haul for him then maybe.

I wouldn't trade Trey because he's a perfect fit next to Queen and Fears. He just has to accept he is a 3rd option and not a playmaker. The only players I wouldn't trade are Fears, Queen, Trey, and Peavy .

The only trade he made for us looks quite good for the moment - Saddiq Bay seems to be the best player from it (and is paid only 6 mil) and Poole/CJ productions are similar. Both could be traded at the trade deadline in the offseason or next year (when the free agents are way way better) for some draft picks. We definitely don't need the cap space for this year free agents (nor we will ever need it) and most probably we would have gotten couple of second round picks for CJ/Olynyk right now.
And although his trades in Detroint weren't great, they weren't awful either.
His worst actions were obviously the head coaches - keeping Casey for too long and the contract he gave to Monty.
In terms of firing the coach the lesson was learned, let's see how it will be with the hiring.
