I agree with you.

By the time the allstar game is played, Zion will have played in 29 games, and sat out 30 games.
Sabonis has missed 2 games. He deserved it more.
Zion barely deserves to make the all-star team, much less start, strictly b/c of the games missed, obviously not b/c of his play b/c he is a top 10 player in the league, when he plays.
I'm just wanting the NBA to put more emphasis on playing the god damn game and stop being a bunch of pussies constantly sitting out for rest or taking 2 months off anytime you get a slight feeling of discomfort.

So why was Sabonis 9th in fan voting. That is what killed his chances. Where are his fans? No all star voting is perfect when fans involved. Heck, AD played in less games than Zion and he was Zion's main competition for the spot.

who cares? half the fans votes are in China and they just know Lebron, AD, Kyrie and Harden.

the all star game is a showcase. Zion should be in that showcase.
Zion should also be in the dunk contest.
Kind of difficult to do either of those if you're hurt every single year.

Zion says he found out from his stepdad in a phone call that he was an allstar starter. “That was a moment. That was crazy,” Zion said. “It’s an honor being named an allstar and a starter, especially after last year. It’s crazy for me.”

“It was a moment of looking back where I was a year ago. I was in Portland a year ago. It was a real rough time for me,” Zion says. Williamson said making it this time means more because of what he has overcome.

Pelicans All-Star Zion Williamson says he’s feeling “great” and if he is physically able to play in the All-Star Game he will. Added that @CJMcCollum is deserving of being an All-Star too.

Cause despite all the previous ESPN coastal handwringing about how small market New Orleans should sell their team, we only get focused on cause literally no one remembers Sacramento even exists...including all-star voters(or their own fans)
