Because of the age difference, no.

Sweet Jesus this is going to be a long arse off season.

Hell no. We don't need an aging lebron on our team. All that would make us is a poorer version of the Cavaliers in a much tougher conference. AD is the better player imo anyway

The last part of your statement isn’t true lol. I mean come on. I wouldn’t make the trade either, but AD is not better than LeBron ????

It depends on how you define better.
If we are talking about statistics and careers on the court it’s not really a question LeBron is better. He has been the best player at arguably the most important position for the majority of his career.
If we are talking about contracts and how long they can reasonably play at peak performance, however, I think AD clearly has the edge. Now that AD is eligible for the super max we are in a really good position to keep him for his next contract which would equate to the next 7 or so years?
Keeping AD is a safer play long term play for sure.

While Lebron is still the top player in the league. He is also entering into his 16th year in the league. As inhuman as Lebron is, he is still part human. Meaning either this year or the year after he will definitely not remain the top player. And he likely only has 5 years left in him anyhow.
Meanwhile, AD is a top 5 player in the league just entering his prime. We still havent seen AD's best I believe. He is like 7 or 8 years younger than Lebron.
Lebron on this Pels team minus AD is not taking down GS. I don't expect this Pels team to take down GS anyways. But we can wait for the GS dynasty to end in about 2-3 years, and we are waiting right there to take the throne with AD at the helm. Lebron will have declined by the time GS ends their run.
