Get in the playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed, getting certainly eliminated by warriors or rockets and then Gentry is given a pass for making the playoffs.

I want Gentry gone...but who are you going to replace him with? Not sure it’s worth missing the playoffs to have a chance at a nobody. If we were going to get Jay Wright or Brad Stevens, then I’d say miss the playoffs.

I think he stays anyway. It appears AD and Boogie like him, and the Pels want to do what it takes to re-sign Boogie. Also, the team had a winning record despite the Boogie injury. All reasons they would use to give him a pass. Since we owe the 1st to the Bulls. might as well make the playoffs.

Gentry isn't going anywhere and he shouldn't. This team has played about as well as can be expected considering that they lost Boogie, signed a journey men in Okafor who was out of the league for years, Solomon Hill basically miss the entire season, Mirotic came over in mid season, and Ajinca hasn't played a minute.
The front court is very, very thin and think Gentry got all he could get out of this team, considering the circumstances.
