2 top 10 picks >>>>>>>> 1 top ten pick n a horrible contract

Is his contract really that bad? Yeah it's roughly 4/$32 left and his stats are bad this year, but Charlotte is tanking this year. Last year he had a PER of over 18 off the bench and most people felt he wasn't getting enough minutes. My concern with this trade would be he plays the same position as the guy you'd draft unless you shift Davis to center.

Let's just delete this whole conversation because we're basically talking out of our asses with no idea who's going to have the first second or third pick. I know the anticipation and excitement is building up because of the great news from Benson buying the team to us losing and getting most likely a great pick in the draft but let's just settle down and wait. Good things come in due time.

Any suggestions as to what to discuss on the board other than draft possibilities, trades, etc.? I don't think potential playoff rotations are going to create much conversation.

there's 2 possibly elite players we can get with the two top ten picks we already have.

Go look up the 9th picks of the draft in the last decade. 80% aren't close to elite. It's hilarious that some people A. think Charlotte might do this and B. think we wouldn't do it.

I would trade every pick and player on the roster for Davis. He's elite.

No one else on this team or in this draft is elite. Maybe someone rises up in the draft, but Davis is basically a sure thing. A franchise changer ala Duncan, Garnett, etc.

Do whatever it takes to get him and figure the rest out later. Like the previous poster said, a top 10 pick is not that big a deal in the NBA. Most suck. I mean Aminu was higher than 10th. Look at the busts in the NBA draft every year. The NBA is about superstars. This is not the NFL. Multiple first round picks aren't that important unless you can get a star.

That seems to be the consensus. And if that's actually the case, it seems that if we have two top ten picks (I know, I know . . . but still) plus are willing to throw in a solid player AND take on a bad contract, you could at least tempt a team like Charlotte or Washington. But if contrary to popular wisdom Davis doesn't work out, the Hornets are fricked and Demps is toast.
