Would you be happy with drafting Jarell Martin in the 2nd rd?

I havent seen him mocked as a 1st rd pick. He has a big frame, can play the 3 or the 4, and has alot of potential. Not saying he is there yet, but the potential for a really good player is there. I think he would be a perfect project for the 3 spot for us.

We have the 56th pick and hes goin late first maybe early second. So unless we trade for a pick in that area he will never be a pelican.

Yes, because he's a first round talent.

Jarell Martin should have stayed at LSU. There. I said it. What's done is done.

So would I like having a guy who's going to go 20-30 picks earlier than 56? Yes.

No, he shouldn't have. He will make a $1M and get better coaching without practice restrictions.

Martin likely won't drop to us, but I'd take him if he did. He won't be a superstar, but I think he, Q-Pon and Cunningham make a nice rotation at the 3.

Btw this was a hypothetical question, as in if he would drop to us or if we would trade up in the 2nd round if he drops to the 2nd round. Because I was looking at a mock up on the tv last night that scrolled during the LSU baseball game that didnt list him in the 1st rd.
