I was looking at the Wizards tonight and I was struck with how similar to the Hornets they are right now. They both have about the same record, are relying on young superstar potential players (Beal and Davis respectively), have out of the ordinary guys leading the teams in performance (Anderson/Hornets and Crawford/Wiz) and the big one, injuries to their two major star players (Wall and Gordon). I just watched an interview with Wall (LINK ) and it's amazing how smooth and confident he came out. He is about to come back as well, so I'm thinking both teams are going to start playing alot better. Looking ahead.. which team has the brighter future? It's also strange, in that Crawford plays the same position as Beal (even though he's been playing PG with Wall out), so will they trade him? It's alot like Anderson and Davis playing the same position, so do you keep the both of them in the long run..

Wizards have been rebuilding forever now. They've had two top 4 lotto picks, including a #1. And they have some shitty salaries this year.

I don't think it's very similar.

The Wizards are a sad bunch. They have Veterans in Ariza, Okafor, Nene, Barron, and Martell Webster and they can only muster out 3 wins? Not only do they have Vets, they also have some talent in Beal, Seraphin, and Crawford. The problems are much bigger than John Wall.

I don't understand how they have their best healthy player coming off the bench playing only 21 minutes per game. Nene needs to play at least 35-38 minutes. Nene and Okafor should be on the floor together the majority of the time playing big minutes. Their coach is an idiot.

We have a MUCH better salary situation than them, but I think they have a little bit more talent then us. If Wall puts it together he could be a top 3 PG, Crawford is starting to look like a pretty good 2 guard, Beal has talent, and their role players are way better than our role players.

But their contract and salary situation is fricking atrocious for being such a bad team, so I would definitely not switch places with them.
