Problem with running it back with Jax is that our ability to get assets for him is running out.
We can trade him now and move on, trade him at the deadline if he isn’t planning out but probably get less, or have to either pay him as an RFA or let him walk.
We can get another season out of Kira before we absolutely have to make a decision but at a point his trade value may be minimal at best. That’s probably at the point where you make the classic Dell Demps deal of trading your trash for someone else’s trash and hope it works out.
Ex - Sending out Julian Wright and getting Marco Belinelli, which worked out because Beli became a volume shooter for us and Wright’s shitty attitude put him out of the league.

Fair enough. Im not in love with Jax by any means, but is he really valuable now? I just figured maybe he could build value before the deadline next season. Personally I dont feel like Jax is bought in to the locker room, he seems to be the only guy thats having problems being arrested and doing immature shite.

Will we get a ton for him? Probably not. But getting something for him instead of overpaying him or letting him walk for nothing keeps our options open as we try to make a big run.

My favorite bust in that category is a guy you left out: Jimmer Fredette.

I've heard that everyone wants a backup 4 that shoots 65/35/75, so he must have some decent value.

Trade Jax ASAP, as Nance is a worlds better backup 4
Just get some draft assets for him

Apparently Jaden Hardy just crushed his pro day. Shot the blood out of the ball.
Averaged 20ppg vs professionals albeit on bad efficiency.
LINK
But he's signed to Klutch...
Controversial opinion I think Hardy will be a better pro than Sharpe.
