Wait so it's the Pelicans holding Monty back and not the other way around?

Monty is a solid coach. Players clearly don't respect him though and won't play his game.

I don't think you understand how much money 14 million dollars is.

Sure worked out well for OKC

And you're retarded if you think their run is far from over. Just unlucky with their injuries

OKC will be solid for years. They have a true dominant player. We have a guy who only takes 15 shots in big games.

No everybody knows you can win a championship with a team built around a scrawny center and Austin rivers as your best penetrating playmaker

He's played less than half of the games since he's been here. Most of that "rehabilitating" in LA. Offseasons, he's lived in LA. So he's lived in New Orleans a grand total of about 10ish months since being traded here 3 years ago. That really sounds like somebody who's willing to stick around

I'll ask again.

Do you REALLY think he is going to turn down $14M, when his next contract will maybe be $8M a year?

That or he could get a little under the max and live in a city that he actually likes?

You're the guy stuck at a job you hate for an extra 10 grand a year right?

Am I sold that he is willing to stay here? No

Regardless, that's not the frickin point. He has a bad contract that you could pair with AD's. Sure Gordon is overpaid, but he's still a decent player that could make a difference on a playoff team especially when you take him into account with the addition of a player like Davis

Do you honestly believe Eric Gordon could get a little less than the max?

A player of ADs caliber comes around maybe once every 10 years. You don't get rid of that, unless you're a fricking idiot. Have patience.
