Serious question, because I don't know the answer...

In the new cap era, is Jrue worth the likely 20mm cost to resign him? Keep in mind that he is a two-way player, but also remember he isn't a top-10 player at his position.

If he stays healthy next season (70+ games) and ups his per game minutes played to about 34, I'd say yes. If he has an injury riddled season where he plays ~50 games, not a chance.

Nerlens and a draft pick was too much to give up. Rather have Noel than stone hands, not to mention the money difference of a rookie contract.
Have only seen one bone headed move after another with the Pels. If you love AD, maybe it is time to trade for a couple of players + draft picks in next years loaded draft. Why let him toil in this.

Jrue holds leverage, he has no reason to stay here and a lot of teams will want him. He will use that to his advantage and I'm not mad at that. I just don't think this team can build a future off a maxed out Jrue and Ask eatting the cap.

Garbage stats on a garbage team with a stupid high usage.

I didn't realize we were discussing the career arc of Tyreke Evans.

This is Pelicans Talk, not AD talk.

They can stretch him after next season for ~3.5 mil per season over a 7 year period. 3.5 mil is nothing with a 100+ mil cap.

Asik made the playoffs at center. Gordon made the playoffs at SG. Ryno made the playoffs at 6th man.

Tyreke was part of a team that made the playoffs for the first time in his entire career. Monty Williams has a better history of winning than Tyrec. Get the frick out.
