What are Dell's incentives for becoming a seller?

A lot of us believe it is in the Pels best interest to become a seller at the deadline. We see the writing on the wall (Davis gets traded in the summer and Pels clean house including Dell and Alvin).

My question is what incentive does Dell have in becoming a seller when he likely knows that the only way he keeps his job is a miraculous finish to the season?

Is there any chance Dell gets fired before the deadline?

I think the motivation is there to sell on Randle. The odds of keeping Randle are low and Okafor seems to be coming along. But this AD injury probably makes Demps think he needs Randle to stay afloat and keep his job.

I would argue his motivation is his next job.

If you do right for the long term health of the Pels franchise, you might eventually get another job. If it is known you put your own interest before the franchise you work for, you won't even get a G League assistant GM job

Wasn't the narrative that Dell needs wins to keep his job?

If we collapse without Davis and are sellers by the deadline, I think it raises a legit question of letting Demps go before the break and letting an interim team (Ferry?) supervise the hoarding of assets and search for next GM and or POBO. Not sure I trust Dell’s hand on the wheel under those circumstances...
