I would like to keep Naji, but I am ok with him leaving.

Let him test free agency and go from there.

He is the type of player that every team wants in the 8-10 spot on the bench.

My biggest issue with Naji is Willie Green

That’s where I would argue he really wouldn’t take minutes away from Dyson or Hawk. Dyson and Hawk were both drafted as guards. I think Hawk is more of 2 guard and Dyson actually may be a better 3 behind Trey. You’d love if Hawk or Dyson could develop into great facilitating PGs but I don’t think the odds of that happening are very good. Hawk is a catch and shoot 3 guard and Dyson is a defensive guy that can defend all over. Naji really was our backup 4 last year. When Zion would come out usually it was Naji or Trey coming in. I think Naji can be a good small 4 off the bench but it’s all about price and what we can afford. I would give Atlanta our 1st this year with Ingram just for Dejpunte Murray and the $10 million it would save us in salary that we could use to go to a C or another wing like Naji. I’d also offer Utah a 1st for Walker Kessler since it came out that they are actively trying to trade him. The question is what compensation they want for Kessler.

I am not a Dyson believer at all, he’s been on the roster for two years and his shooting splits are the same or worse than when he came into the league.

With that said, Naji isn’t going to move the needle of this team. I doubt Dyson ever will either, but management drafted him so we need to play him and find out.

Dyson has a lot of potential if he can just find some sort of shooting stroke. If he can be a 37% shooter from 3 he would be worth his defensive advantage. He’s a great on ball defender with the size that lets him guard 1-5. He’s also a really good rebounder which this team lacks. That being said, I wouldn’t object trading him if the right deal was on the table. Houston has a decision what to do with Jabari Smith or Sengun and Detroit has one with Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren.
