How can 75,000 fans go to a Saints game way easier than 15,000 going to a Pels game? I will never attempt to go to a game from BR after work on a Friday again. Had friends that didn’t get in the stadium until almost halftime.

They left BR at 5:30 and got to the game midway through the second quarter. Explain to me why the stadium was half full after the first quarter?

Friday night rush hour traffic in a city of 350,000 people… who knew!?

Traffic near the cbd at rush hour is always a shite show. Friday’s are 10 fold
Should have left BR at 4

it was really just on the riverbound expressway. Tulane avenue is your friend

Ochsner had an event in the dome too

I left Baton Rouge at 5, stopped in Metairie, ate pizza and picked two people up, and got a beer from the vendor cart. I stepped into my seat when it was 11-5 GS.
Here’s a hint, don’t use the fricking interstate once you get passed Metairie. Second, if you park in the dome, park on the poydras side, otherwise you may as well go eat dinner somewhere after the game because that thing takes forever to empty out on the Girod side.
Thirdly, park on the street around Girod and the Rouses and walk the few blocks.

That's because yall are parking in the wrong area. Do your research and it will be better.

Not sure what your friends did, but I left BR around 5:15, made a side track to Parleaux in the Bywater to pick up some beer, parked in Garage 5, and was in my seats only a few minutes after tip-off.
The biggest time suck is getting in and out the garage. They really need to figure out a better way. I’m at the point where I prefer to sell my parking pass and instead reserve at spot at one of the premium street lots further away. If you don’t mind a little extra walking, it saves a bunch of time.

I left BR at 4:30 and barely made it in for tip. It was a combo of Nola Friday traffic and a parking jam.

There are multiple ways to get to the SKC and your friends took the absolute worst route. Congrats to them

5:30? Should have left much sooner. It’s Friday afternoon traffic dude. Poor planning.

get off the expressway at Tulane ave
take Tulane down to galvez
take galvez to Lafayette and then turn towards Claiborne and park under the overpasses
Free and a 5 minute walk to the gate, no traffic. After the game you can hop right on to elevated Claiborne/I10 in 2 minutes and you are gone
