I would like Simmons, brown, Ingram in that order. Poetl or however you spell his name from Utah is good too.

I prefer Ingram over Brown for the Pelicans and think Ingram may push slightly into Simmons territory come draft time if he can start producing against the better teams. He will at least make a team think twice though Simmons is still going 1.

ETA - I also like Henry Ellenson a lot. From what I have seen, he seems to have great feel.

Brown is a safer bet. He gets to the rim, has crazy athleticism and has a pro body, Ingram is running on toothpicks and his shot isn't as good as expected so far.

Ingram has been getting better every game. He is so young. Will be very interesting to see him against stronger defenses coming up. Against an admittedly bad defense last night Ingram put up:
26 pts (9-14, 2-4 3pt), 14 reb, 2 ast, 2 blk, 1 stl

Brown is elite at getting to the rim, but relies too much on his athleticism. I prefer Ingram's ridiculous length and smoothness. It will be easier for Ingram to add weight (he's a year younger than Brown) than to develop a shot/shot selection for Brown.

I think both will be good and would be happy with either, but I think Ingram has higher upside and will fit with the team better. Brown is safe because he has an NBA body and elite athleticism, but I think Ingram has the higher upside and will be better in the long run.

Personal preferences. (In fact, I prefer Ingram over Simmons in the long run for the Pelicans)

Sans the FT he's the anti asik(mobile rim protector that can block shots/steal and finish)

He's been one of if not the best defensive big in college. 6'10" 250 with 7'3" wingspan. Good mobility and length. Just turned 19. Improving offensive game, but really still limited to stuff immediately around the basket. Don't love his lack of versatility for us, but he will play somewhere.

Official measurement at the Fiba World Championships in July was 6 ft 9.25 in. He does have a nice 7 ft 2.5 in wingspan which helps. He sounds good overall. 18 pts, 14 reb, 2.2 steals and 3.2 blocks per 40. I want to say he's related to Arinze Onukaku who was on our Summer League roster. They are similarly sized and both from Maryland.

If we end up with a mid 1st from some kind of trade or personal improved record I'd take a look at Cheick Diallo out of Kansas. Saw him in those high school exhibition games, guy goes just balls to the wall anytime he steps on the court, crazy motor. Reminds me of Tristan Thompson. Not really a position of need but I'm just a fan of players who are noticably going harder than anyone on the court, don't think we have a single one on our team tbh

I like him. Reminds me a bit of a Marcus Smart type. Jrue and Kris would be a good defensive pair. We could move Jrue to SG and let Tyreke come off the bench if he isn't traded by then. Murray would also be a nice pg/sg type.

What do you all think about denzel valentine the senior 6 ft 6in w/shoes, 6ft 10in wingspan sg/sf from Michigan State? He's currently putting up 18.6 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 7.2 apg in 31 minutes per game. He also is shooting 38.8% from downtown on 7.7 attempts per game. His Jr year, he shot 41.6% from 3 on 6.3 att a game.

He's currently projected to go in the middle of the 1st round so this would be a good pick if we just miss out on the playoffs or sneak in as a 7 or 8 seed.

I don't know if he can be a 2nd star, but he might be able to be a solid 3rd or 4th banana.

New favorite realistic prospect for when I think the Pels will be drafting now if we start winning and up late lottery: Timothe Luwawu. Long (6'7" with 7'2" wingspan) and athletic with decent handles and good shooting mechanics. Supposed to be a very capable passer as well.

Haven't watched much, but seems to be highly thought of despite being an average defender. I prefer Luwawu. He is older than Korkmaz and also almost joined draft last year, but watch his draft express videos. Great length and athleticism. Has some Kawhi like qualities. Good 3pt shooter, elite defensive potential with ability to guard 2-4 with 7'2" wingspan and excellent lateral quickness with thick lower body. Very good first step and handle for his size and a natural passer. Needs to get stronger, but seems like a perfect fit for this team.

Korkmaz will probably be a better scorer, but I don't think he fits this roster as well as he is more of a 1 way guy. Luwawu has the potential to be the very good 3 and D wing this team needs.
