Jrue is looked at as a finished product, and while he's basically worth his contract, the real value is when you have players who are worth more than their contracts. A young player with potential on a rookie deal is going to hold more value than a veteran player that is better but is a finished product and is making 25+ mil.
And I'm not sure what to tell you concerning the pick, everyone will you that the 3rd pick is more valuable than the 6th pick in this draft.

Of course it’s more valuable but I don’t see it being more valuable than the difference between Jrue and Ball. That’s pretty ridiculous. If Ball is that good we should be jumping all over the Lakers package then.
