So if Willie is back, does that mean Chris Paul?

We all know this team is going to look to make a cheap splash to appease the fan base. Chris is a FA and 40 years old. We need a PG and I think Chris wants to start and get paid as much as anything. So $10 million and CP3 as starter next year(depending on draft)?

If CP3 came back and then became coach the following season, then maybe I'd give a frick about this team.

Let CP3 take his retirement.

The only way you do this is if the Pels go into a total rebuild and want CP3 to be a mentor type like the Spurs did this season, punting on next year.

I see no downsides. He still plays 82 games a year and is replacement level. We need a pg. He’s probably as good as any vet in the league to try to reach Zion and teach him better habits. He’d sell tickets when fan enthusiasm is the lowest it’s ever been.

For all of these reasons, I’m guessing it doesn’t happen because it makes too much sense
