I remember when I said two years ago that we should trade for Gasol and everyone on the MSB said I was stupid.

I don't think anyone would really dispute that Gasol is a better player than Okafor. Randolph is much hungrier than West on the boards which gives him the edge as being a better player.

there was a thread a while back ranking centers and people definitely disputed this
gasol was starting off poorly though, and i think even i had cooled off on him a bit

Okafor had a really good year and had better stats in the major categories including an extra 2.5 rebounds/game.
But again, when you factor in pay there is no comparison [although Marc will get paid after this year].
