So half the home games for a "regular" fan is what u deem acceptable?

I consider myself a "fan" of the team but
Only make 1 or 2 games a year from BR.

Guess I need to spend a couple thousand dollars a year and make 20 trips to Nola for
Games.

You pay 250 per person for Saints season tickets? Saints tickets are cheap as hell.

Your post is utterly stupid.

If people don't want to pay the money, they shouldn't. I hate this mentality. Why should people who don't care about the Hornets, basketball, etc. be bitched at for not supporting a team with their limited income?

Here's an idea. Maybe NOLA just isn't a basketball town PERIOD! People have a ton more to do in NOLA than basketball games.

If you want the Hornets here so bad, why don't you freaking buy more tickets since it's so cheap apparently to drop $300+ on tickets to go to 20 games not including costs for food, parking, etc.

Same here, and not bad seats.

If I was one section over and one row down, I'd be paying more than double what I do now.

Its $250 per ticket for the season ($25 per ticket per game).

My two season tickets in the Lower Corner of the Terrace Endzone cost me $500 total.

WRONG
it means that you don't care to see a sport where they take breaks after every play and show fast food ads every 30 seconds....part of the reason there are so many fat-asses in the USA no doubt.

I like both football and basketball. I have both Saints and Hornets seaaon tickets. Saints tickets are in the Plaza on the 45 yardline. They're pretty pricy. I share two sets of Hornets tickets. Both in the lower bowl, with one set in the Club Section. Point is, I'm financially invested in both teams.

That said . . . basketball is far superior to football as a live, in person event. Football drags and is ponderous in person, even though I go to the games. Basketball moves. for the spectator, football works better on television, while basketball works better in person.

I agree with everything except this.

Chris Paul has been acting like a little bitch for the majority of the year, in addition to completely disappearing in the 4th quarter. Blame it on the knee or whatever you want, there is no excuse for disappearing in the 4th quarter as the "team leader"

N.O. is not a basketball town. Even when UNO fielded great D1 teams, they struggled with attendance. The Jazz struggled - the huge crowds they had were inflated by $1 tickets that were available from a then local shoe store chain (Shoe Town). N.O. lacks the demographics to support a team that has 40 home dates. I'm all for pro hoops staying in N.O., just don't know how economically feasible it is.

I diagree...I've literally almost fallen asleep at basketball games before. To me there's nothing like a packed 70-90k capacity stadium ready to erupt at any second over a big play. It's all a matter of personal opinion. Baseball and golf are arguably the two most boring sports to watch, yet both attract large crowds and high ratings, as does basketball in some markets ex: L.A. I think the problem with the hornets is that they are in a really small market already dominated by two major football teams (Saints and LSU). There's only a certain number of dollars to go around in this market and the hornets get the leftovers. The only way the hornets will do well here is to consistently put a very solid product on the court, which aside from one year, they really haven't. I hope they stay, but it doesn't look good.
