very impressive tank by the pistons there
that was Detroit's 60th loss on the season
I guess that's what you should expect

If we can dodge the wolves in the playin, I would love that. They seem to be doing well with a healthy squad and Conley leading them.

Looking at the remaining schedules I’ve got
Phoenix- WLWWLWW 45-37
Minny LWWLWW 43-39
Clips LLWWL 43-39
GSW- WLWLW 43-39
LAL LWWLLW 41-41
Pels LWWLWL 41-41
OKC WLLWL 40-42
Not sure how tie breakers would work but Lakers get GSW or LAC in play in, lose and would play us after we beat OKC
We would almost assuredly get hosed by refs
Only way to avoid the 9 seed imo is beating Denver tomorrow or going 4-0 on the home stand

Kings putting away the Trail Blazers in the 3rd
which will make Portland officially not a problem anymore as a loss means the Blazers mathematically can not catch the Pelicans (since the Pelicans own the tiebreaker)

Suns take a 7-point lead over the T-Wolves to the 4th... good quarter for the Suns

Sacramento outscores Portland 70-34 in the 2nd half... wins by 40, 120-80
The Trail Blazers mathematically can NOT pass the Pelicans in the standings following this result
so we can officially disregard Portland from any further discussions about our potential playoff spot

if the Pelicans win tonight at Denver... we would jump back ahead of the Lakers and into a tie with Minnesota and of course we've split our previous 2 games with Minny with game 82 being the tiebreak decider between the 2
I'm not sure if division record is still in play as a tiebreaker since we're not in the same division as the T-Wolves
if so... we would jump into the 7-seed (NOP is 10-5 in SW Divison... MIN is 8-7 in the NW Division)
if not (and I don't think it does)... then we have to go real deep into tiebreakers since we'd be tied in conference record at 27-21 and I can't math that hard right now to determine if we'd end the night at #8 or #7
if the Pelicans lose tonight at Denver... we remain at #9 in the standings due to holding the tiebreaker over the Thunder

ESPN moves the Pels all the way to 7 after tonight's win
so 7 it is
I will just update the standings above

Huge news regarding the Pelicans match up with Minnesota, Naz Reid broke his wrist and won't play against us, he always lights us up so this is good.
Clippers off a B2B against Memphis, Knicks without Randle, and Minnesota without Reid.

not to mention we dominated them TWICE on their home floor already this season and clinched the season series

I really feel like we essentially clinched a postseason spot tonight. I know we didn't technically clinch, but I'm not worried about missing the play-in anymore.

We obviously still root for the T-Wolves in that one.
