We have other ways of making the salary, namely a S&T of Favors and Moore.

Here's a rule of S&T:

quote:

The player must receive a contract of either 3 or 4 years (not including any option years), where only the first year must be fully guaranteed. (5-year sign-and-trade contracts were abolished in the 2017 CBA to disincentivize the transaction.) In turn, this means that he cannot be signed using a salary cap exception that does not allow the team to offer a 3-year contract.

dont' think anyone wants a 3 year Favors deal. That's a pretty big negative asset there if you ask me, especially if his salary needs to be $15M/yr to make the trade work.

Well aware of that. Favors on a 3/45 with only the first year guaranteed is not a negative asset though, its essentially a 1 year deal.
