i want him here badly but if they do match this would be epic
We need to get on the phone and start negotiating S&Ts if we haven't already. Don't want to risk it, especially with all of these guys with "sources" saying Tyreke is giving Sacramento every last chance to take him back. Really don't understand why, but whatever.

I know you're joking (at least I think you are
) but if we did that we couldn't afford Evans

Yeah now it comes down to what it's always been, do the Kings want him back for that price

@sam_amick: As I mentioned on air, safe to say Pelicans PG Greivis Vasquez - who has same agent as Tyreke Evans - is gettable in possible sign & trade.

Dammit I was just about to post that
but if he signs the offer sheet that means no sign and trade right?

He can't "sign" the sheet until the 10th.
He can only verbally agree to it.
Which means we have until the 10th to work out a S&T.
We also have until the 5th to decide on Lopez.

Let's do it. Kings have been looking at FA PGs but they won't get better than the General. We could just risk it and see if they'll decline to match and then use Greivis in a trade, but why risk throwing away the guy you've spent almost 2 weeks targeting just to get something else out of GV?

@sam_amick: Then again, Kings would likely open with,"So about Anthony Davis..."

So i guess if we dont trade him by the 5th, then that either means we will do a S&T or Dell and co believe that Sacramento will match

Well yeah, but if no sign and trade is worked out by then and he signs the offer sheet (hypothetical) there can be no sign and trade, right?
Looks like we'll hold onto Lopez for now and wait for the right trade

Then the Kings are forced to react. He's giving them every opportunity to negotiate on their own terms or do a sign and trade for a player and a trade exception.
Either way the Kings are still a fricking awful franchise.

Not necessarily. Even if we don't cut Lopez there have been a few reports that multiple teams were interested in him (and GV). We can always move him for picks or something. He just needs to be off the roster some way/somehow by the time TE signs.
