He tanked the interview because what they were asking him was about organizational structure and culture changes, not scouting and related matters which are more in his wheelhouse.
He wasn’t the guy to do a complete rebuild of the Pels organization but he is the guy who will find the player we need who is currently on a team in Europe somewhere.
He’s apparently well known for flying out to Russia or elsewhere to see the guys play in person since he is a former Euro baller and speaks Russian.
