Shouldn't that be discussed in the previous timeout. Who is gonna come get the ball to bring it up. Rivers wanted Roberts to come get it, but Roberts never had his back. That was plain terrible.
Rivers is a professional and he started shitting his pants as soon as he realized he might have to take that shot.
You can't have a ticking clock and your "scoring" guard stutter stepping his way up the court.

He was trying to get the balls to Roberts. The way he looked at him going up court and way ad tried Roberts almosy yill a 5 count makes me think it was roberts balls to go get.

Yes sir. This is my #1 issue. If we have some thing that has been drawn up in the huddle and it doesn't develop like it was drawn up, there isn't another option. It leads to the Grevis' heaves, and tonight's Rivers not shot.
I'd much rather have the ball in Gordon's hands. Let him create/penetrate, take the shot, or dish it out to an open teammate. That seems to be the way to have most success coming out of late game timeouts. No?

Totally totally agree. Monty doesn't trust Rivers and Rivers knows it. That's why his confidence is shaken, and the reason he was shitting on himself on that last play.
Maybe a better scenario would have Gordon with the ball in his hands, and let the offense run thru him on that last play?
