Only 2 preseason games means less chance to catch Corona. I don't think the NBA has even discussed how they plan to manage things yet. I bet they're trying to get near the front of the line for the vaccines.

No, they would take a PR pummeling if they were to get vaccines before healthcare professionals and nursing-home residents.
"People died so that super-rich NBA players and owners could make even more money."
They aren't going to be able to get vaccines until February at the earliest, and since a booster shot is required and then you have to wait a week after that for it to fully take effect, they won't actually have immunity until March -- again, that's at the earliest.

They funded the development of COVID rapid test that others ended up using so there wasn't a PR hit for testing in the bubble. LINK I'm sure they could come up with a similar set up where the NBA getting vaccinations funds getting vaccines to people faster.
