Unless Butler is the the SL MVP, I don't think the Pels are in much danger of losing him by not having him on a 2 way. If someone wanted to give him a 2 way he'd already be on one.

How do you know that? We are about to start playing summer league games. Not only could another team like him but we could like a player from another team too. My point is that one of those guys could go off and we couldn’t sign them because of keeping Garrett fricking Temple who is gone next year. That only hurts us as a franchise IMO.

It really was amazing how Demps was simultaneously so good at identifying unheralded talent, and so bad at actually capitalizing on them as assets.

History.

Hence me saying I'm not worried unless he really shows out in SL. Also, players in this tier are usually grateful for opportunity and it seems like they often give you a courtesy chance to match in which case you either do what you have to do with Temple or you choose Butler over Seabron.

That's your opinion, but the team that found Naji, and Jose and decided to give them 2 ways up front is also the same team that chose to give Seabron a 2 way and chose not to give one to Butler. They also gave a 2 way to Daughton Hommes until injury hit and so they temporarily gave it to Jared Butler. The point being so far they have only found 1 2 way per class worthy of getting a contract by the end of the year. The other 2 way guy didn't matter, even ones that got playing time like Gary Clark.
I also would just like to point out the absurdity of the situation here. After living through the Demps era where anywhere from 3-5 out of just 15 roster spots were dead weight, usually due to injury but sometimes no talent, you are getting riled up over the Pels not maximizing all 17 roster spots available to them

It’s absolutely crazy what this team/ FO has built the last few years.
