I found a nice article on Pelicans 2022 2nd round pick Karlo Markovic.

That was from last season. We saw him in Summer League this season and it was a mixed bag. His first few games he looked terrible, like he didn't belong in Summer League. He got better, but those first 2 games make me wonder if he will be able to translate.
What the Pels are trying to do with backup big is have a portfolio of $1 scratch offs. You don't need them all to hit, just one or 2, and they're cheap, so if one doesn't work out, cut bait and get another ticket.

Not to be a downer but that article is from like 9 months ago. I too am curious what the plan is but you will not find any new info there.

I am still curious about the Pels future plans for Matkovic, because I believe he can play in this league.
