The #3 pick was never going to be used by us. If we deal with the Knicks, that pick gets flipped for a player we want.
If RJ and Zion were both two of the top three players in college basketball last year, Duke would have won the title. They weren't anything like an ideal pair in college, so I never understood why so many on this board wanted to pair them on the Pels.

I had no clue why everyone was enamored with him teaming up with Zion when RJ's efficiency numbers were poo while playing with him on the court
He was a ball hog. Low efficiency volume shooter. Had no moves to get by defenders. Would put up (and sometimes make) the ugliest shots around the rim. Poor FT shooter. Poor 3 pt shooter.
Give me Deandre Hunter (a Kawhi clone) over this MF any day of the week.

IMO, I think the biggest knock on Barrett is his nonexistent right hand (off-hand) game.
If you always have to drive left, or even when you do drive right, always have to finish with your left hand, that's very easy to defend in the big leagues. Austin Rivers got exposed early & often for having no off-hand game.
And if you haven't developed it by now, it ain't ever happening.

Which is always a weird thing now that we know Barrett is right handed.
