[WOJ]: New Orleans Pelicans associate head coach Jeff Bzdelik, 67, won’t be joining the team in Orlando, his agent Warren LeGarie tells ESPN. The organization is supportive of the decision.

Im sure there is a long line of coaches who take his job in a heartbeat. If he wants to stay back, let him. The team moves forward without him

i imagine he's still going to be breaking down film and giving notes/instructions, just won't physically be there or won't have in-game coaching

NBA could dial up the weirdness with "phone a friend" timeouts. Let's say LeBron scores 10? straight so Gentry has a chance to call Bzdelik in a timeout, but the catch is the entire call is broadcast on TV.
