I know some people here would rather us trade for Jahlil Okafor and get a big man because watching Asik is like slowly getting AIDS...but wouldn't you rather work on what we have this year?

I think Buddy Hield will eventually develop into a Klay Thompson type player...bash on, but he has the talent to be a knockdown 3 point shooter much like Klay.

Then you have AD who is easily a Top 3 player in the NBA, I'm tired of people saying that no one wants to come to NOLA to play...it's such a shitty city and market. That's false, people would want to come if we had a team worth playing for and NOLA is a world wide tourist attraction.

I must admit I don't really keep up with the NBA anymore, I really stopped watching all together once we changed to he Pels. All I know is we have been raped by injuries and we seem to give away excellent role players that are asked to be stars here. (Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza, Marco Belinelli, Peja Stoyokavic, Ryan Anderson, J.R. Smith, etc.)
I haven't been all that impressed with Jrue Holiday but he was an all star so I know he has the talent. I was excited about picking up Tyreke Evans but some don't like him, I honestly feel like we are only a few pieces away from being a playoff contender every year.

I feel that we should keep our pick and draft someone who is young and can help us down the road, not overpay a mediocre center.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I would really enjoy for the Pels to have a good team again. It was very fun to watch CP3 and company back in the day.

Go Pels!

pretty sure the trade for Jahlil is the 2018 pick.

We are. The pick is 2018. And most only like the trade if it's protected.

Okafor being on his rookie deal until 2020 is one of the major positives about this trade.

Okay admittedly I just looked up his stats he isn't doing bad, I just get the vibe that's he's not doing that great for us because he is so often injured. I apologize, like I said I don't keep up with it as much as I use to.

How can you make assessments when you haven't paid much attention to what's been going on the past few years?

Before anything is done with the team personnel wise, Benson needs to get his front office in order. Bring in a competent GM and Head Coach, then create some damn identity and start working towards finding players that will match the identity you are striving for.

This year's draft is stacked. If we trade any pick, I'd rather it be 2018

He hasn't been hurt all year. It took him a bit to get in a rhythm but he's now playing as a top 10 PG.

Jrue Holiday is the first guard since James Harden (2/23/15) to have at least 30 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 blocks in a game.

The 3 blocks would eliminate a lot of much bigger guys lines.

Some great players never had 3 blocks in a game.

Dell has traded our first round pick almost every year. LINK
He traded a first round pick to get a center in Asik so it is extremely likely he's doing it again. Okafor makes sense since he's only 21 and has never played with a legit PG. Put him with Jrue and have AD mentor him and it's a match.
Would love to see a move to get Vucevic.
We have got to get rid of Asik and Ajinca before the deadline!!
