Not flaming but it didn't take a genius to see that Gentry was not the answer. Thibs was the answer and Demps is an arse clown that couldn't assemble a winning team if his life depended on it. Loomis needs to fire Demps and Gentry and pay Thibs whatever the asking price. Gentry and Johnny Jones are cut from the same mold, remember boys and girls and repeat after me: You are what your record says you are.

VanGundy should have been the coach especially since Gentry wants to change the roster as well.

Thibs was the guy in my opinion, he reminds me a lot of Popovich. He was able to win while his talent was on the bench in street clothes.

Most people weren't sold on Gentry IIRC. Thibs is a great coach, but grinds his guys. Not sure we want that happening to AD.

I say trade whatever picks you need to pair AD with Brad Stevens for the next ten years.

Honestly, I think this shite is overplayed. Gentry hasn't proven to be great for our guys' health. Also, minutes played does not support this argument against Thibs. Basically, we are stuck arguing that he makes them practice harder. At this point, I'd say our guys could use a healthy serving of tough love and practice grind.

Except for the part where Thibs is known for overworking his players while Pop is known for managing his players minutes so well he's helped them last much longer than most players do.

yeah, Duncan and Noah have such similar styles of play that have nothing to do with that.
Giniboli and Parker have each played more than 70 games only twice in the last 7 years. With how they play attacking the goal, they are likely to get hurt, much like Rose.

In what way has the injuries to Rose been Thibs fault?

Giniboli is also 38. So the fact that he's played over 70 games twice between the ages 31 and 38 is impressive. It's also damn impressive that he's 38 and still contributing to the team.

And I think the way Pop's teams have constantly been so good in the playoffs is a testament to his minute management during the regular season. Compare that to Thibs who has only made it to the Conference finals once with the Bulls. Don't get me wrong, Thibs gets the most out of his team and we'd be a good team in the regular season. But I just think we'd be that team that runs out of gas in the playoffs. Not to mention our star player is injury prone and we need a coach who wont overwork him.

I won't. Gentry was a lousy hire, Demps is horrible. I was bashed when I said that Gentry was a bad retread.

Constantly making and bumping threads to say I told you so is quite weak.

Anything actually detailed on how you'd fix things?
