Apparently he didn't know he had a loaded gun at an airport.

In my humble opinion (and, trust me, it's hard to be humble when you have the life experience, intelligence, insight and huge set of gonads that I have . . . but I digress), people are a little quick to judge when they don't know all of the facts. This incident will turn out to be a minor deal in the end.

I'm not an employee. I've known Josh for 13 years. I've known his wife for longer that that as we were in many classes together at LSU. He was in my wedding. He is a good ole country boy from Pontchatoula that has done pretty well for himself. I am actually surprised they even have a gun in their house. This was an honest mistake. That is all. You damn better believe I am going to check all of the pockets of my luggage before I take my next trip.

Which is damn stupid. That's the point. Nobody is trying to lynch the guy for it, but it was a really stupid mistake. More than anything, he sounds like a really poor example of a gun owner.
