How many blue pills did you pop this morning? Come on be honest. Your optimistic level is throught the roof.

I wasn't really excited about any of the trades and I'm kind of glad it all fell apart. We weren't getting good value and I think the team is better off. I'll take another year of challenging for the playoffs with a top 5 player over 50 losses with Gordon scoring 30 a game. The draft is a crap shoot and I don't want awful basketball for a year to draft Austin Rivers and John Henson (much more likely than us getting Drummond and P. Jones or any other top 3 combo)..

If CP3 stays here past the trade deadline, then this franchise in NOLA is dead. CP will leave, fans will rightfully lose interest, and Stern will either contract us or send the Hornets to Seattle

What from our current roster makes you think we would be competing for a playoff spot. Hell even if we sign Nick Young and maybe Humphires (huge contracts i may add) that team isn't competing.

CP

Ariza
Oak
Q Pon
Carl Landry (??)
Jason Smith

What is so different from last year? Didn't the hornets make the playoffs and push the Lakers pretty good?

I disagree. The starting 5 is basically still here, except for Landry. Paul was hurt (not 100%) through a good portion of the season. A full season of a healthy Paul, plus an upgrade at the SG and PF and the team could make the playoffs. Not even mentioning the fact that there a couple playoff teams in the West that are sliding back (Denver and Portland). At worst we'll be competing for the 8th spot. Better than getting hammered every night..
