If he's posting he's not serious. Fear has become a Steven Colbertesque caricature of that which he hates. He's so effective at it he's the poster boy for the Chicken Littles. He's the Alex P. Keaton of the PT.

26th out of 29. I only looked at espn's nba stats.
I'm not really concerned with his turnovers, yet. As long as he gets around a 2.25 ratio, I think he'll be fine.

Any way you cut it, he has been sub-par in assist:turnover. You can add caveats and get him to average. This preseason, he has been piss poor and there's no other way to say it.
Again, we all hope he improves, because we are locked into him. That doesn't mean we have to ignore what we see, though.
That drive and scoop he made last night was gorgeous, by the way.

Following up on the analysis I described above.
There were 34 players in the NBA that played at least 24 minutes per game for at least 42 games with at least 5 assists per game, and Jrue was on one of them. His ratio of assists per game to turnovers per game last season was 27th out of 34 (on the low side).
29 of those players have a ratio of 2 or higher, nad Jrue is one of them. The guys at the bottom are: Ellis, Irving, Wade, Bryant, and Harden.
As noted above, and never disputed, Jrue is more of a shooter than a passer like Vasquez (who is 5th on the list with a ratio of 2.8) according to these numbers, but he's meets the standard for a lead guard nonetheless, as he netted 8 assists per game last season, surpassed by only Chris Paul and Greivis Vasquez. He's fine passing, just not as good at it as the best passers.
He's got other skills and defense he brings to the table, too.
I'm not saying the turnovers are good or there's no room for improvement. I'm saying there's a standard set (informally), and he meets it. I'm also saying the overall benefits are worth the costs, at least at this point.
