Yep, Willie Green, the guy that made Steph/Klay/KD work, and b/c of that he cannot be criticized as a head coach for the Pelicans now.

I get what your saying but its the process what bothers me. Hawkins worked his arse off and played very well. When guys get healthy, instead of finding minutes you sent him down to the gleague like hes some struggling rookie. Thats not fair to him and just a dumb process. Dyson has struggled immensely on offense- why is he not being sent to gleague?

Not exactly, willie is still learning and has admitted. But saying Hawkins is what the pels need rn, more shooting, has taken this convo in a different direction. Green and staff think hawkins needs more run before getting minutes. While some here think a rookie shooter and less defense would change our outcomes. And that's silly. Yea I see errors in game by both players and coaching sure. But this ain't one of um.

I think he should share minutes with him depending on whats needed. The point I was trying to make is if we’re sending Hawkins down to the gleague because his defense isn’t great- why isn’t that same philosophy applied because Dyson’s offense isn’t that great?

Look at how Mike Malone is managing Strawther. He has a -67 net. And Malone is finding ways to get him meaningful minutes and develop him. That is a championship team and they don't even need to play him but they understand the long game and how valuable a guy like that will be if you develop him.

Due to injuries. Most of his minutes since we got healthy are off of blowouts. He's not getting meaningful minutes anymore.
