Meh

I don't think he is overrated. I just think people expected too much from him his first year as a full time starter. Once Rose went down he was looked at to assume a bigger role and he has floundered a bit. He has shown glimpses and has the size to play/guard 2 positions. I bet he has a better 2nd half and will be a lot better by this time next year

I think he's a fine player. People on the internet were hyping him up as the next big thing, though.

I love how when you do the trade machine on ESPN and we give away Eric Gordon and get anything back, the analysis is almost always negative for us. Just about anything we get in return for him would make the team better, assuming the team is healthy.
Just farting around with the trade machine:

EG for Mayo/Sanders makes us -3, and the bucks +5
EG/Aminu for Jeff Green/Wallace, -4 for us, +4 for Celtics
EG for Noah/Snell, makes us +1, Bulls -2
EG/Anderson for Pau/Young, no change for us, +1 for Lakers. Would have to be a S&T and i think Pau and Davis would go very well together.
EG/Aminu for DeRozen/Fields/Hansborogh, does nothing to either team.
EG/Smith/Aminu for Al Jefferson/Kidd-Gilchrist is -1 for both teams
EG/Smith for Varejo/Clark makes us -1, Cavs +1

and my favorite trade, EG for Hayward/Jefferson, makes us +3, Jazz +1. Jefferson expires and we can resign Hayward. Even if we don't resign him, i'd be happy with the trade.

There's your problem dude. Fact- Jimmy Butler is not overrated, because no one credible overrates him.
