We were the 9 seed last season and 3 games away from the 4 seed and hosting round 1. They matter, doesn't matter who is playing in the games.
I'm guessing not many teams will play the entire season with, say, their 6 best players missing just a handful of games at most. You have to win with injuries, especially when your best 2 players have been relatively healthy in terms of games played.

Of course all the games matter. But you asked which team the Pelicans are? And that’s the one with our core guys. Because that’s the only team that will go anywhere in the playoffs. So a record that includes a game where Robinson-Earl and Matt Ryan started doesn’t seem overly relevant. But it’s interesting we’re better against better teams so far.
