Zion entered the game with 4:30 left, tied at 87.

He went 0/1 with a rebound over the next 3 minutes. Game is now functionally over at 88-96.

You’ll be waiting forever. He isn’t that guy.

At this point I just hate watch this team hoping for some kind of growth. But they continue to get stomped on in the last 5 minutes of every close game they have

What pisses me off is if these vets can't carry the team and win games, why are we not playing Fears and Queen 30+ every game and let them develop.

He always had the weight excuse, but now we see he simply isn't that good. Tough realization for pels fans, even worse for trade value.

I think Z is good, it’s an effort thing. How easily we forget games where he plays to his potential and looks like the star he should be. But he is so injury prone you don’t get that consistent effort

This guy was taking over 20 shots a game last year when he came back from his injury and did it with a minutes restriction. Now he's only getting up around 16 attempts a game which is the lowest in his entire career. This is getting ridiculous for a guy who they gave the keys to and said it's your team now.

Yeah, I think it’s kinda wild to say Z “isn’t that good.” He just has no heart and doesn’t give full effort.

Where do we go from here as an organization? It obviously should be a rebuild but we traded away high first round picks. The roster is crap. We don’t have a coach. The GM is half retarded. His sidekick is full retarded. The owner is spending money defending alleged pedos. And Loomis is the mastermind of two disasterous franchises.

To blame Zion for this loss is complete nonsense.
Is it his fault that McGowens threw a lob instead of attacking the rim, or that Fears and Bay can't hit an open 3, or that Jose can't inbound the ball?

Warriors always had few players in the paint and played a lot of zone because they knew we have no shooters. And as usual he had to play through lots of contact and didn't shoot a FT till very late in the 3rd (it's true that the refs were letting them play though).
But at least he made his FT, shot a middy and even attempted two 3s.
If the others ware able to score their FTs at 80% we would have had 4 point lead when Zion checked in.

Actually Fears played 36min and was quite good until his last stint. Queen looked unplayable on defense for a second straight game, but this is also a good learning experience for him.

The game was tied when he came into the game and even had a 1 point lead in the first possession he returned. He took 1 shot and let the 1 point lead turn into an 8 point deficit. There excuses are pathetic.

I think you have to move TM, Z, and Herb. I like OKC for TM if that Clippers pick looks promising. I don’t know what the market for Z would be. But he definitely needs to get moved.

Those are not exuses, those are simple facts of the plays we had after he get back in the game. If you expect him to be able to go 1 on 5 and score, that's obviously not going to happen. He tried ones, got hacked and it wasn't called. He found once Bay for an open 3 and he missed it. He created space for McGowens who should have attacked the rim (as Draymond was worried only about Z), but as AD said "once you made up your mind about what you want to do..."
When the team shots 23% from 3 and 67% from FT (wtihout Zion) and your point guards are 6 of 27 combined it's ridiculous to say that the "star" player can't will you to win.

Trey to OKC?
Why would they want a 30mil player instead of a draft pick, when they roster is going to be very expensive next year and probably will let Dort and Hartenstein go?

Hey, give credit where it's due. He actually insulted him/told the truth about Z in that post. He's trending towards the full reality of the Z situation. Don't think he has any defenders left, which is great.

Time to put the pressure on Dumars to trade him, just like we did w firing Green.

Trade Z petition should get about 50K signatures after 7 years of his bullshite.

This is silly logic. Those guys were playing above their pay grade and roles while pretty much help kept the team in the game and even gave Williamson the tie and lead. What you needed was a star player who would demand the ball during the close of games and take over. We've been waiting on him for far too long to keep playing those what if games with the role players.

If you're a fricking star player, play like one. You're a bucket getter so demand the ball at the top of the key. Close the fricking game like the talent you supposed to be. It's year 7 and you take 16 shots when the team is really short handed and allow the role guys to take shots/attempts that YOU needed to be the one who takes them? It's is the sad reality of the Pelicans basketball.

You know who played above his pay grade - Gary Payton. And last game - Moody. That's what role players should do once your star is double/triple teamed.
So, it's not silly logic, it's what actually happen.
And in reality he had 21 shots and should have been to the line at least as many times as Jimmy (who by the way had same number of shots as Zion).
Don't get me wrong it's clear that we can't build a winning team around him and he should be traded (let's hope he stays healthy for that) but to blame him for that loss is complete bitching.

This is stupid. You're defending a guy who is playing about as mediocre as ever. And I've defended him more than most on this board.

This is a clear case of much is expected from whom much is given. Only one of those guys is on a near max contract and the centerpiece of the team.

Zion has simply not done enough to develop his skill or his body as a professional and the game has passed him by. “Healthy” Zion was once a mythical top 10 or even top 5 player in the nba.

Zion is currently healthy and unable to win games against bad teams and teams missing their own stars. And that failing is his.

There is nothing he does as a professional player in year 7 better than he did in year 2.

That’s pathetic.
