That's not interesting at all. That's like saying Dame sucks because his performances aren't leading to wins.

Brez

Both BI and Zion are good facilitators

You play to Win the game ….

Not knocking CJ at all, just don’t prefer point guards that hunt for their shots first. Not saying it doesn’t have a time and place, but historically it is not conducive to winning at the highest levels.

* I believe CJ should be an all star this year

Like when Ingram misses all 14 of thoe games and Zion misses 8 of those 14 games?

He'll be out 3rd scoring option and lead the team in assists when BI/Zion are back.

As much as people keep trying to come up with trades, what this team really needs besides a healthy big 3, is older versions of Dyson and Trey. Imagine both being better defenders, both holding their own playing center.

Dyson
CJ
BI
Zion
Trey

If the Pels win it all, it's either because the big 3 are healthy making the other guys not matter as much, or because the last 2 1st round picks stepped up and became legit starters.

You play to win the game... But you also left out we're playing with your two best players out as well as rotational players like Herb and Nance being in and out of the lineups.

Now you're running backups as starters and your bench is suddenly real thin. And you expect to win these games against the best teams in the league? Come on now.

We are handling business against teams we should beat especially with these injuries. CJ gives us a punchers chance against these top teams and that all you can hope for right now.

Dyson and Trey are not playing well at all right now. We need Trey to get better from 3. Dyson is a project at this point.

Sadly, Duren is looking exactly like what the Pels need going forward.

I’m not talking about this year with those 2.

Gotcha, hope you are prepared to wait on Dyson. Long horizon with him, especially with CJ/Z/BI/Jose as current initiators.

CJ could put up similar numbers off-ball.

You’re not serious I hope. BI has missed all those games, Zion several, Herb several, Larry several and we basically gave one away with CJ taking a game off. Not to mention it was a difficult part of the schedule with back to backs, tough home games and the beginning of our longest road trip of the year.

With BI/Zion out, if you put CJ off ball, who are your facilitors/creators?

Jose and Naji?

That's how you have a really, really bad offense if those 2 are your best creators with the ball in their hands initiating more than anyone.

I also don't see how CJ can put up the same numbers off ball considering the bulk of his work he's doing on his own. That's where he excess. We have no one that can get him the ball in spots regularly at a consistent above average rate to say he'd put up the same numbers.

I'm keeping an eye on Dyson too, he shows the good traits of Lonzo and Simmons without the headaches. Sometimes we become so enamored with the talent of these players (*BI, Zion, CJ) that we forget its often better just to make things easier.

No, I said I'd like to see Dyson there, Jose continues to do Jose things.

I am, for context I was responding to Shel who pointed out CJ's stats over the last 14.

We have a better win % when Zion does NOT play this season.

Food for thought...

Which is why we were 7-7 and not something like 3-11.

Kind of hypothetical, your saying we lose to Wizards, Rockets, TWolves, Pacers, Thunder, or Spurs without CJ ?

If CJ weren't playing, we'd have a severe lack of offense. Like, really bad.
