Cousins came back and actually looked good until he tore his Achilles the second time and that was what ended his career. When he came back he was averaging 16.3/8.2/3.6/1.3/1.5 in just a little over 25mpg.

Yea that's because he came back barely 12 months after the initial injury occurred and wasn't heavily load managed like he should have been.
Compare that to Durant where he came back almost 17 months after the injury occurred and was heavily load managed for every little thing the season he came back.
It's all in how you manage his return that will determine his future.

Yea. Durant did manage his return well. But even that recovery shows Durant played

So however you want to slice it, we probably should not count on much from Murray for the remainder of his contract with the Pelicans.
This really just sucks. We’ve wondered the PG wilderness for a while now and I really thought Murray would nail that down for us for 4-5 years.
Time to raise the Flagg on a new era of rebuilding.

It’s not even just that Murray won’t play. It’s that we’re paying $30 million for nothing now
