Do you think Monty is the guy to make this a consistently very good team?
If not, you have to move on.
If not, you have to move on.

Do you understand how difficult it is to win a championship in the NBA? A championship or bust mentality is going to lead you to disappointment unless you are a bandwagon jumper or Lakers/Celtics/Heat fan.
Of course it is difficult as hell to win a ring in the NBA.
I'm not going for championship or bust.
I'm going for top 4 seed that are championship chase/contenders. We were contenders in a couple CP3 years. I rather that than your annual low playoff seed team that don't get anywhere.
Would you rather be OKC or the bobcats who are either shitty or low seeded playoff teams.
exactly

Yeah, whose rotations and adjustments ain't gonna look bad when your whole plan is ruined by injuries. Y'all being way to harsh. Monty already has proven he is a great young coach. He is an elite at player development and has shown he can lead teams to the playoffs. Like I said get him the right players and a healthy roster and we will be challenging with OKC for best in the west. Saints fans done the same thing with SP after two bad seasons and look what he did for them.

Monty has developed Lopez, Greivis, Prondextor, Belinelli, Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Jason Smith, Al Farouq, and others. He has shown he can get his players to play hard for him and the only reason y'all have for firing him is that he has a shitty record with a crappy team. Who wouldn't?????? And he already lead a team to the playoffs so that's what it's based off of. And now I a troll just because we have a different opinion.

What proof do you have that he developed anyone? He didn't develop Ryan Anderson or Pondextor or Lopez or Aminu. Anderson was already good and hasn't really improved. Pondextor didn't do a thing here but got better in Memphis. Lopez hasn't changed at all. Aminu has been dog crap.
Just because a player gets better doesn't mean the coach "developed them".

Chris Paul led a team to the playoffs.

Where are the playoff appearances since 2011?

No. Because you're clearly trolling. Its quite good though.

Cmon Surf...I have your back on this Monty thing...but you arent helping your argument with that player development post. Pondexter developed in Memphis. Not here. Al Freak really hasnt improved very much. Bellinelli wasnt very good here. Now Vadquez and Davis have definitely seen improvement under Monty in just a year's time. I dont think anyone can argue that

The team has been shite. Show me a coach who could lead those teams to the playoffs.

No Chris Paul was pretty much on cruise control until the playoffs. Without Monty's coaching we wouldn't have made it.

So why do we have a defensive minded coach with the worst defense in the league every year?

No, Lopez was at most a bench player in Phoenix. He became a serviceable starter over here. Aminu is the best rebounding SF in the league. And to say Anderson hasn't improved greatly since Orlando is blasphemous. And when a players consistently improve under a coach it means he is developing them.

The one constant during Monty's tenure is that people have complained non stop about his rotations no matter who is on the roster.

No he has not. He had one good season and that season had a big * next to it because that also came with a boy genius assistant who is now a head coach, and the best PG in the game running the team and being the coach on the floor.

I guess 25% of the time qualifies as "can".

1) SP has proven WAY more than Monty.
2) I don't want him gone because I think we'll be a terrible team with him, I want him gone because we have about 5 more seasons to get right with AD, and we shouldn't waste 2-3 of those years on a guy that won't be here when the team is contending.
I get that some people think it's unfair to fire a guy when the deck has been stacked against him all year, but Monty has shown us a lot this season, and none of it has made me think he's going to be a contention level coach. Again, we have AD's time frame to consider. If Monty's not the guy you need to move on.
