That's not his all his fault. But the performance, or lack thereof, they've shown on the court, is 100% Monty's fault.

Yes, because the players he has been working with are not very good.

Would you agree that it was a bad coaching decision not to put Evans in the starting lineup until after about 30 or so games after Jrue and Ryno went down?

No, Evans has shown to be very one-deminsional.

(Chuckle). Evans hasn't played well this year for the most part. But when my 12 year old son asks why is Aminu still starting and Tyreke isn't, something is wrong.
You know Aminu? The one you claim is the best rebounding SF in the nba in one breath. And in the next breath, part of a shitty lineup that no coach could do anything with?

Aminu can be the best rebounding SF and the lineup still suck arse. Do you think the current lineup is good?

Better than the record reflects.

And now the coach that has been "committed to him" for the better part of 2 years has said its "time to move on from him".

You make it sound like he's blowing away the competition...What he does is play ~25 minutes and is one dimensional, not a great thing.
When you extrapolate numbers like that based on a player's low minute play compared to a higher minute player, you get arguments like this:
Anthony Morrow is a better 3pt shooter than Stephen Curry.
Morrow shoots a lower # than Curry does, but his % is higher based on a smaller sample size.
Or how about this
Jose Calderon is a better 3pt shooter @ 4, I mean curry is ranked #17 on the list.
or how about go off a better stat:
aminu
ortg - 105
drtg - 108
pretty bad numbers on defense for a rebounding SF

If Aminu can fix his shot, he can be one of the better SFs in the league IMO.

and if monty could coach, we'd be one of the better teams in the league IMO
if rivers could shoot a free throw or shoot better in general, he'd be a better player than lamb IMO
see where I'm going with this?

Sorry, a team starting Brian Roberts and Alexis Ajinca will not be one of the better teams in the league no matter who is coaching.

Just turn on your TV. Monty's development of Belinelli on full display right now.
Posted on 3/6/14 at 9:29 pm to WindSurfer
Just stop.
Belinelli's Per36 statwise has been absolutely the same his WHOLE career.
The improvement is under Pop:
Belinelli under Pop vs. his best NOLA season
+6.4 fg%
+3.2 3pt%
+5.9 ft%
avg. 106 ortg/109 drtg during his NOLA years
his season under pop 114 ortg/106 drtg

So Monty brought out the defensive qualities of Belinelli while Pop helped his offensive game.
Posted on 3/6/14 at 9:43 pm to WindSurfer
by that argument, thibs turned him into an even BETTER defensive player than monty did. So it wasn't even Monty who developed belli into a great defensive player.
