you still have scorers in Val, TM3, Herb, and Hawk who are capable scorers but CJ gives them no air.
The vast majority of shots/complaints from CJ shooting last night was when Val was out of the game in foul trouble in the 2nd half.

CJ was definitely deferring and playing through Val more when he was in

Trey just isn't super aggressive and his skill set is very limited.

Hawkins is a movement shooter that we park in the corner or wing and have him stand there.

Which brings me to the point I was making last night, when Val is out, the offensive scheme is to put the ball in CJ's hands and then the other 4 dudes just stand around and watch and also none of them can really be counted on to be a playmaker. This was mentioned on the broadcast and Twitter as well. I get it, CJ sucked last night, no question. But there's only so much he can do when the scheme is "CJ dribble and do stuff" while we don't really run any intentional actions to get the defense moving and making decisions.

You guys are very wrong on this one.

The team was gun-shy last night.

CJ was the only guy looking to shoot.

No problem with the initial thought but that doesn’t mean to not attempt an offense by not making an initial pass in half court or look for spacers and trailers in transition. Plug should have been pulled long before the disastrous 3rd.
