What makes Denver unique in this league is they have 2 starting 5's. After they play their usual starting 5 with wilson chandler filling in for melo (chandler is a very underrated player), they sub in the Knicks starting 5 for the first half of the season. Their bench took ours to the cleaners and their ability to put fresh legs in the game allowed them to outrun us play after play and out hustle us for rebounds. We need more talented or more explosive bench play.

There offseason will be tough.
Martin, Nene, Smith, Afflalo, and Chandler could be going elsewhere this year as FA or RFA.
I would really like Chander or Afflalo on the Hornets next year, but it is probably doubtful.

ditto, i don't think it was anything about the offense, it was the defense. period.
Dude, you need to lighten up on the kool-aid. You have argued until Monty is blue in the face that Thornton was some gigantic defensive liability. Arguing against yourself is unbecoming.

Dude, you need to stop quoting what I say if it isn't what I say and stop just going to the last post or stopping at one post in a thread 2 pages or more and understand.
No one was talking about thornton's defending ability, we were talking about the hornets defense in the team today.
Thornton would've done better today? gtfo
arguing against you is an hilarious way to end my days

Yeah, I guess we should all just let you slide on the months and months of dumb shite that you have posted. Your comment does not exist in a vacuum. You framed it with months of flimsy arguments.

Everyone on this board knows your history on the Thornton subject, so there is no point in me digging up your hundreds of posts trying to minimize his talent.
Do you not realize that you are basically the opposite side of the Ghazi coin?

For the past 4 years or so if teams take us out of the usual offense of CP3 taking the air out of the ball, 88-85 type games we get blown out, which is weird i guess considering CP3's speed you would think he would thrive in that kind of offense, definitely the Thornton trade didn't help.
CP3 would thrive in whatever offense you put him in. It isn't the fact that CP3 can't play the fast paced game it is the guys he has around him. Who is he going to run the floor with? Marco? Emeka? West? Only one who can kinda run with him may be Ariza and that hasn't happened.
They don't have a big man that can run and don't have someone to take the ally oops like Tyson used to do. With a big like Tyson it was a lot easier for CP3 the run. That is one big reason why he averaged 11.6 assists in 07-08.

I don't think anyone is trying to minimize his talent. Thornton will be and is much like Monta Ellis who is one of the leading scorers in the league but a big stat is that he shoots the ball more than anyone else in the league so naturally you would hope he scoring numbers are towards the top in the league.
