So does this hurt our 10 million cap at all? I am so confused..i see his salary was five million but it was a team option.

I don't think the $848k goes against our cap. Not that it would make a huge difference anyway.

Quit being such a baby about the Jack trade.

@johnhollinger: Summary of that Brad Miller deal is Hornets bought two 2nd round picks for $848K (guaranteed $ left on Miller deal).
It's really one 2nd round pick since we're sending one back.
Won't go against cap.

@johnhollinger: As @JerryZgoda notes, that 848K also will not count on their cap now.

Ah, OK, that's not that bad a deal then.

To summerize lates trade, Hornets eat about 900K that doesn't count against the cap for two future 2nd rounders.
Our 2nd to them is conditional, so we may be able to retain it anyway.

How does trade "make no sense"?
Hornets simply bought a 2nd round pick from 'Wolves for $848K.

So we all have to wait until we fill out the roster for you to quit whining?

HornetsPR
The @hornets have acquired two future 2nd round picks, Brad Miller and cash from the Timberwolves for a protected 2nd round pick in 2017

So basically, the Wolves wanted to pay $848k less. Whatever, I'll take the picks.

The picks that the Hornets acquired were the Nets 2013 2nd rounder and the T'Wolves 2016 2nd rounder for those interested

Probably the most useless trade ever... but i guess Dell has to keep the fans occupied somehow until he pulls off the big one tomorrow! i feel it coming.
Posted on 7/13/12 at 5:38 pm to imAMAZING
yeah a 2013 2nd rounder and a 2016 for an allstar like iggy
Posted on 7/13/12 at 5:38 pm to imAMAZING
It make not make a difference but we can never have too many draft picks

They want Rivers to get as much pt as possible.
Make sense, now?

Hornets receive:
Nets 2013 2nd rounder
'Wolves 2016 2nd rounder
'Wolves receive:
Hornets protected 2017 2nd rounder
No cap implications for Hornets.
What's not to like?

Yeah, Dell raping as usual.

Dell wins as usual, but it seemed like he did this just because he was bored

I wouldn't call it a full on rape. But definitely sexual battery
